Science City RFQ

Seeking a development partner to lease, finance, develop, and manage on a long-term basis the new 68-acre Science City development site (the “Development Site” or “Site”) within the Science City District in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  As a financially viable development partner with significant assets, the Trust is prepared to enter into a long-term lease of the site with the selected developer.  The Development Site is cleared with approvals in place to create a state-of-the-art, mixed-use, transit-oriented, life sciences, technology, and research community, with supporting residential, retail, and lodging uses.

The Knowledge Corridor

  • Molecular Science Research Center (“MSRC”)- This document outlines MSRC’s mission and University of Puerto Rico’s (UPR) role in the development of the technological innovation and knowledge economy in Puerto Rico. It also outlines Puerto Rico’s worldwide position in education and the knowledge economy, and outlines the vision for expanding research and the sciences in Puerto Rico from the UPR’s perspective.
  • Puerto Rico Environmental Research Laboratory This laboratory is under construction in Science City, and will host the Environmental Quality Board’s laboratory. It will also provide space and resources to the local environmental science research community. It is scheduled to be completed by October 2016.
