Workforce Development Meetup

This Workforce Development Meetup aspires to build awareness on the challenges and commitment towards the development of a sustainable and agile workforce that keeps in pace with shifting labor market dynamics, while simultaneously supporting existing business operations, as well as fostering emerging entrepreneurship and innovation.

This is in tune with the STEM and Workforce Development Program’s vision and mission: To advance, connect, expand, and sustain key initiatives that drive STEM education and workforce development as key components of Puerto Rico’s economic development. To do that, the program’s multi-prong approach focuses on:

  1. supporting sustainable changes to existing STEM education public policy by way of strategic partnerships, stakeholder collaboration, and fostering equitable access to activities that promote and support the development of Puerto Rico’s STEM education ecosystem, and
  2. to offer training and mentoring activities with the aim of developing skills and job opportunities that improve the prospects of the Island’s reconstruction and socio-economic growth.
