We have great news for aspiring entrepreneurs in Puerto Rico!

The Founder Institute and the Puerto Rico Science, Technology & Research Trust have teamed up to help aspiring technology entrepreneurs launch successful new companies in Puerto Rico. Through a new partnership, accepted applicants to the Founder Institute’s Puerto Rico Summer 2013 semester can participate in the world-renowned entrepreneur training program for only $200. This discount of $700 is the highest offered across any of the Founder Institute’s 42 chapters, and is made possible by the Puerto Rico Science, Technology & Research Trust, an organization that stimulates innovation, technology commercialization and the creation of high-technology jobs in Puerto Rico.

Anyone who is passionate about starting a technology company in Puerto Rico is welcome to apply to the program. The Final Application Deadline is on Sunday, May 2nd, at 11:59pm. 

The Founder Institute is a 4-month, part-time accelerator program, where aspiring company founders can receive expert training, feedback and support to launch a technology company – without quitting their day job. Based in Silicon Valley, the Founder Institute has launched over 800 companies across 5 continents in just 4 years of operation. The program is open to a variety of candidates, including employed or unemployed, those with or without ideas, and those with technical or business skills.

The Founder Institute’s ambition is to create hundreds of new jobs in Puerto Rico by 2015, by launching over 30 new, local technology companies per year through its program. By helping local aspiring entrepreneurs launch new and successful companies, the Puerto Rico Founder Institute can have a meaningful impact on local job creation in the next five years.
